On the Island
The nearest airports are Catania Fontanarossa (CTA), Palermo International (PMO), or Reggio Calabria (REG).
From the airport, you will need to reach a port, then take a fast ferry (aliscafo) to Salina, operated by Liberty Lines. We strongly recommend booking your ferry early to secure lower fares. Book at libertylines.it

From Catania: the best option if you are travelling from Milan, Rome or other Italian cities. Take a transfer to Milazzo port (approx. 1.5 hours), then board a fast ferry to Salina — two reliable transfer options: DiPaola Viaggi Transfer (autonoleggiodipaola.com) or Giunta Bus (giuntabus.com).
From Palermo: the best option if you are flying from London or other international destinations. From the airport, reach Palermo port by taxi sharing (approx. €10 per passenger — platforms in the arrivals area) or by taxi (approx 25min), then board a fast ferry to Salina.
From Reggio Calabria: a direct shuttle connects the airport to the port in approximately. 25 minutes (6–8 daily services), then fast ferry to Salina.
Another great way to reach the island is via Naples, by fast ferry. You can book your journey via the SNAV webiste (SNAV.it).
We recommend contacting your hotel directly to arrange a transfer from the port; most hotels offer this service.
On the island, you will find local taxis, public buses and several car and scooter rental services. Most hotels offer scooter rentals.
